As the extended birthday celebrations continue (fitting for such a milestone....or any birthday, really), Mum organised a lovely BBQ lunch for me to celebrate with the family. As is usual, Mum was worried there wouldn't be enough food. My standard reply to this concern is that we could always order a pizza. And as is typical of most all Mays Occasions, there was too much food!!
The highlight for me, other than the AWESOMELY FANTABULOUS cake that Mum made me, was being on hand to take this photo:
Who knew that Nanna and Pa had so much of the rock star in them???????
For some unbeknownst reason, I didn't take any other photos, but it was really great to spend an afternoon with Ash and Kim, Ani and Graeme, Nanna and Pa, Paul and Lilly and my lovely fantastic awesome beautiful superlative Mum.
HUGE thanks to Mum for indulging me and making me my specially selected Womens' Weekly Childrens' Birthday Cookbook cake. There are so many options and it was amazing to see how many of them she has actually baked for us kids over the years. My selection of a blue butterfly with orange flavoured icing and M&Ms not smarties, was flaming delish!! A brilliant job, Mum!!!!
And there was no need for pizza......
